Hostess Pizza Boxes

This is what I do for all my customers that book a Gathering. As an incentive for booking I give them all the material that they will need to prepare for their home gathering.  I decorate a 12 x 12 pizza box.  I always put a pocket on the top of it so that they can put tags or little notes in them if they would like. There are times when I stamp on some of them! These are not stamped but will post some stamped ones once I can get my hands on them (I think they are on my old computer...can check after I post this).  I hope you all like these! I do the same concept for a Party To Go only on the front I put Party To Go instead of CTMH!!!

Hurley Hospital NICU with Santa

So I had the honor of going to Hurley Hospital yesterday with a fellow consultant and my boyfriend who played Santa! We took Santa to the NICU and allowed parents to get a picture taken with Santa and their precious little ones for the first time ever! We had such a great time and were able to meet such wonderful people. The stories we heard were heartbreaking and some I almost cried for. It was so wonderful to be able to give them a great first holiday with their babies even though they are in the hospital! If any of those parents see this....I want to thank you all for allowing us to come in and take pictures of you and your precious babies and help you put them on a page for you to cherish for many, many years. You were all wonderful to talk with and I enjoyed seeing your little ones! Take care and God bless everyone!!!

Ok so Zach had to make a "name tag" project for school that is going to be hung out in the hallway at school. So I thought what a great way to use my CTMH things and really make it nice!  Below are the pictures of his name tag, and yes I realize I am missing a word but it still came out nice!

We had so much fun putting this together!  Once it comes home it is going straight into my scrapbook!!!!

The Close To My Heart Team

I just wanted to take a little bit of time and talk to you about the Close To My Heart Team. Whether you want to join as a hobbyist or as a consultant wishing to pursue this business, I am here to answer all of the questions that you may have. Please take time to read through this newsletter that I have put together just for you!

1) Joining
2) Why I Joined
3) This Month's Special

1) Joining Close To My Heart

Why would someone want to join a company like Close To My Heart? There are numerous reasons that I can give you why someone would want to join. Number one is the 22% discount/commission that we get. No scrapbooker could ask for a better thing. Another reason is the product. As consultants we get to access brand new product ONE FULL MONTH before our customers do....even if you sign to just be a hobbyist and get the discount. How cool is that! The friendships that you will build while with this company are endless. You will fit right in with women of your age who do the same thing you love to do. There is no right or wrong way to do what we do. One last thing I want to mention is that Close To My Heart provides numerous trips and treat us like gold. They take care of us as concultants and of our customers. How many companies can you name care about both the employee and the customer? Not too many. I want you to take the time to read the section about why I joined Close To My Heart and see if maybe this is somehting for you! :)

2) Why Did I Join Close To My Heart?

I joined Close To My Heart in March of 2009 right after I lost my job at Wal-Mart. I did this because of a few reasons. I knew that I was going to need the income to keep my home stable and that I was going to be home all the time. Going from working 40 hours a week on 3rd shift and taking care of 3 boys to being home all day was a major change for me. I have been scrapbooking for many years and yet I have never used a clear acrylic stamp or block.

When I was introduced to Close To My Heart, I fell in love. I thought to myself, "How many times am I standing in Joann, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby trying to put pages together in my head with the paper at hand and trying to find embellishments that match?" Too many times was the answer to that and Close To My Heart had just the answer I was looking for.

With a palette of 60 gorgeous colors, everything matches from the paper, to the ink, right down to the embellishments. Not only that, but they made it so simple for me by providing a color scheme for each paper pack so that I know what to order and am guaranteed that it will match.

As I started growing my business I began making friendships; not only with the customers I have, but with the team that I belong to (which might I add is the LARGEST team in Michigan). There are women of many ages and yet we are ALL ALIKE! I would not trade these friendships for ANYTHING. I finally feel like I "belong".

Did I also mention that Close To My Heart puts on wonderful conventions and regional celebrations? Oh yeah and how about the incentive cruises that we can work towards??? Yes that is right, we can earn up to 2 fully paid cruises with Close To My Heart.

So I guess you can see why I joined; for many reasons. But most of all, this allows me to stay home and enjoy watching my 3 wonderful boys grow up and not miss a minute of it. Oh yeah, and I get to scrapbook the journey of it as well.
This is my story and I hope you enjoyed it! :) :) :)

Organization

So I will be talking about getting organized in this first day or two. I am supplying pictures of how I have utilized a space in my basement to make it my studio! I have these huge "cubbies" (that is what I call them anyway) that go across one whole wall of my basement. Some of them have more shelves than others (like the first picture), some have a big open space with a frame (second picture), and some have a shelf or two (like the third picture). This just gives you an idea of what you can use to keep your scrapbooking organized and neat while you work. This way you can find everything that you are looking for! I purchased everything from Michaels with the exception of the brown shelf with the door on it (in second picture). I purchased that one from Meijer. Now we are off to a great start for some fun filled scrapbooking!!!!!

Welcome

This is the start of a new adventure! I will be posting things about my business such as my events for the month, projects as I do them with the instructions and so forth!  Please join me on this journey! Welcome to my world of scrapbooking with Close To My Heart!
